Our deep passion is for genuine revival in Canada, a Holy Spirit awakening resulting in passionate love for Jesus with priorities solidly anchored in the eternal kingdom of God. Genuine revivals never come in the preacher's suitcase. They come as a result of God's people catching hold of His holy vision for their personal lives and the life of the Spiritual Body of Christ. 

Proverbs 29:18 says, "Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint". (ESV) The need for revival is testimony enough that in general God's people have lost His prophetic vision. For some, they've simply have never had it to lose. We believe it's essential and that it's God's perfect will for His "prophetic vision" be held up for His people to see. This means going back and unearthing the spiritual wells that have been covered over or filled in with the various forms secular humanism. It means opening up God's Word and looking once again into the heart of the Almighty. 

Isa 12:3-6 - With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. 4 And you will say in that day: "Give thanks to the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted. 5 "Sing praises to the LORD, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth. 6 Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel." 

Schedule Meetings

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. (Jn. 1:17) It's very interesting to note that Moses was used of God to bring the nation of Israel up to the Promised Land yet he himself was not permitted to enter. (Deut.34:4-6) It was Joshua who took them into Canaan. The same is true today. Legalism will never cause God's people to inherit the New Covenant Promised Land of Christlikeness. Legalism make the demands yet fails to supply the power. On the other hand, the resurrected, glorified Jesus supplies Holy Spirit power to His people enabling them to be and do all God envisions. (Eph.2:10 & Ph.2:13)

The emphasis of our preaching and teaching is based on the power of the Holy Spirit. We always purpose to have God's people look away from human short comings, inabilities, and inadequacies and look to Jesus, trusting Him to do for them what they are unable to do for themselves. (Heb.12:2)

Christianity Differs From Other Religions

Where true Bible Christianity differs from all other religions of the world is in power to change the human heart. Jesus said, “Unless you are “Born Again” you will not see or enter the Kingdom of God. The “Born Again” experience is what differentiates true Bible Christianity from all other religions. The only true lasting solution to human problems is found in God’s ability to create new life in the human spirit (heart). 

There are numerous large religions in the world the most of which have one thing in common; the goal of moral integrity with the intent of living in harmony with others. Most people sincerely want and promote peace among all peoples. How we do that is without question a major challenge, one which we’ve  failed to accomplish thus far. The fundamental difficulty in accomplishing the great goals such as world peace and harmony among the various ethnic, political, and religious groups has to do with the basic human nature. How do you remove hatred from the human heart? How do you control the aggressiveness and brutality of human pride and ego? How do you build a society where there are no offenses, where everyone is right and no one is wrong, where there is no need to prove that we are better than the next person, etc?

How can the human heart be changed? This is where true Bible Christianity differs from all the other religions of the world! There is a degree of value in suppressing the negative aspects of human nature. Religious laws as well as civil laws not only penalize bad behavior they also tend to suppress it. All the suppression in the world however, will never change the human heart. There’s the illustration of little Johnny who was standing up on the church pew. Repeatedly he refused the instructions to sit down. Finally out of the threat of punishment he unwillingly sat down. As he was in the process of being seated he blurted out, “I may be sitting down but in my heart I’m still standing up“. No amount of religious legalism can change the human heart. This only God can do and until He does people simply do what comes natural to them. They sin against God and people. Dogs bark because they’re dogs. Cats meow because they’re cats. People sin because it’s their nature to do so.

Credibility of the Bible

How do we know for sure that the Bible is the Word of God? Because relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ is based upon it we should be sure of its authenticity. A lot of time can be spent giving complex theological arguments. There's a place for that but it's not here. I want to approach this in a very simple and fundamental way. The short form of what I'm going to say is: I understand the Bible to be God's Word because it declares itself to be and it works for me. Not only does it work for me but it has worked for millions of people in the past 2000 years. Christianity and relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ is not new. It's had a lot time to be proven. 

2 Tim. 3:16,17 - All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work. 

2 Pe 1:20,21 - knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. 21  For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. 

Down through the ages many skeptics and serious doubters have gone to great lengths to discredit the Bible. People have sited various imperfections in translation made from the original languages. I'm definitely not suggesting perfection. Seldom is perfection possible where people are involved. What I am saying is that what the Bible says about establishing a relationship with God through Christ, relationships with other people and personal spiritual growth all work when the Word of God is obeyed. 

Col 1:5,6 - ... Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel, 6 which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and growing--as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth, (ESV)

I well remember the time when I was listening to an evangelist preaching from the Bible. In love he informed me that the Bible said that all people have sinned, which included me, and that I needed to be brought into a right relationship with God. Because of sin in my life I was cut off from the blessing of God and had no hope of eternal life with Him. The preacher went on to tell me the Bible account of Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross for me. I was told that Jesus had taken my sins upon Himself, that He had taken the Father's judgment for my sin and that I could receive forgiveness of sin through a personal repentance (a deep inner desire and turning away from sin) and the acceptance of Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I was told that the Bible said that if I would do this I would be "Born Again" (receive new spiritual life) and that I would have new life in Christ. I did as I was instructed. That was 34 years ago now. I still remember it as though it were yesterday. The peace that flooded my inner being is unexplainable. I knew without a shadow of doubt that God had forgiven me and that I was now in a right relationship with God. I knew all was well with my soul.

Why Is Jesus The Only Savior?

To make the statement, “Jesus is the only Savior” seems to have a ring of extremism. We find ourselves living during a time when “absolutes” are politically incorrect! The fact still remains that God’s Word, the Bible boldly and uncompromisingly affirms that there is only one way for people to be brought into a right relationship with God. Why is that? Why so absolute? Why so extreme? Why not, “many ways to the same God”. It all has to do with the fact that Jesus is the only who took the penalty of human sins upon Himself. Jesus is the only One whose death on the cross was a sufficient act of obedience to be received by the Heavenly Father as a full and complete payment for the redemption of all who would believe and put their trust in Christ. No religion and no religious leader has done this. None have been able to. They were not or are not the Only Son of God which the Father gave to be the sacrifice for human sin.

Jesus said of Himself, “I am the Way the Truth and the Life, no person comes to the Father except through me”. That is an absolute statement! That is an extreme statement, but one made by the only One who paid in full the extreme price to save us from our sins. Jesus is the only One worthy of our full love and devotion. He’s the only One who was capable of doing for us what we could not do for ourselves. 

How do you know this is this is true? History clearly records the events of Jesus death. Skeptics may question His resurrection from the dead but one thing remains an absolute. Ask anyone who has truly been “Born Again”, and they’ll tell you without a shadow of doubt that Jesus is alive. Without His resurrection from the dead there is no new life, no salvation experience, no forgiveness, no “Born Again” experience. 

As someone who experienced being “Born Again” over thirty years ago I’d be lying to you if I said I didn’t believe that Jesus was alive. Oh yes He’s alive alright, and He wants you to experience the blessing of sins forgiven. He wants to bless you with bringing you into a right relationship with the Father. He wants to bless your life with deep inner peace and security found only in His love and only through the sacrifice He made for you when He took your sins upon Himself on the cross. He died for you so that through Him you could live for God and with God throughout all eternity.
